Quarantined at home? Things to do to make the most of it.

Get-together, outings, events, travel plans are cancelled and people of India have to lock down themselves in their homes due to Coronavirus outbreak. Not only India but the entire world is dealing with COVID-19 and the only way to stay safe is to remain at home.

That's right: Self Quarantine is the only key to survival.

Although remaining inside is a righteous way to protect yourself and others from the coronavirus which helps in "flatten the curve" of daily increasing cases of COVID-19. But remaining home for so long can puncture your lifestyle and lead to boredom.

With almost everyone is doing their chores from their home either doing office work or attending online classes of schools and colleges, suddenly it appears like the hours in the day have increased for everyone. This seems to be the perfect time to get back to your hobbies and do the things that bring you joy.

I am sharing my few ways to spend time, during social distancing or in quarantine:

Make your bond from strong to strongest with your BFFs

Chitchat with your BFFs on WhatsApp about minute details of what you are doing or what you are making in breakfast, lunch and dinner. Share pictures of your dishes, any other particular things like painting, gardening etc. Share selfies with them daily, play online games, challenge them to make something or to upload crazy pics of your group. There is no end what to do with your second family, these are my ways to connect with them.

Play Online Games

There are many games available online but presently my quarantine favourite is LUDO KING/ Tambola. We can play with online members or with friends. This is a fun game and reminds us of our childhood memories.

Binge Watching

More time to catch up on Netflix/ Amazon Prime/ Hotstar/ Zee5 etc can watch series and movies to kill our boredom in this pandemic situation.

Reading

 This is the best time to finish the books/novels we ordered but it ends up absorbing all the dust in your book-shelf. Well, its time to pick up a favourite corner of your room with a cup of coffee and absorbed yourself in reading.

Pamper yourself

Its time to apply all "dadimaa and mummy ke nuskhe" daily on your face, skin, hair, nails and make your everything glow like never before.

Learn a new online course

With all the free time we have now, we can buy the online courses of our interest or field from Udemy, Coursera or Edx.org. It helps to fill the gap in my resume and definitely save the cost.

Workout Session

During the time of social distancing, workout at homes is one of the best things to do at our own time and pace. Be it some basic stretching, a small yoga session or just a 30-minute high-intensity workout to release some endorphins to feel happy.

It is the perfect time to broaden your culinary skills and youtube all your favourite recipes and cook up a storm in the kitchen. It helps you in two ways: makes you a perfectionist in cooking and spice up the taste buds in these lockdown days.

Reconnect with your old friends

We all have friends who stay far or to whom we are not able to connect because of our busy schedules and time constraint. So, we can grab this opportunity to connect with our friends virtually through video calling.

Get a good Sleep

Imagine having 7-8 hours sleep in normal days, kind of impossible to imagine de to our tight schedules. We could literally catch up on our sleep, not only 7-8 hours but more than that. Sleep will reduce stress, protect our mental health and mainly it is the best anti-ageing tool.

Household chores - Clean the clutter

Do regular house cleaning as well as clean your almirahs, shelves and much more other things. Brighten your hour house and feel positivity.
